The IAFF Local 1605 Foundation, Inc. is a registered non-profit (501(c)3) and charged with raising money to fund health and welfare improvements for residents of the Greater Hagerstown area. Since its creation, the Foundation has given over $2.1 Million to local non-profits and charities, including a $40,000 donation to Children’s Village and a $60,000 van used by a non-profit organization to transport patients to and from Cancer treatments in the area.
Our members live and work in Hagerstown and the surrounding communities. We put our lives on the line every day protecting the lives and the livelihoods of our fellow residents. This love for our community does not stop when we remove our uniform. We proudly volunteer thousands of hours preparing for and holding the Bonanza Extravaganza in May and our annual Variety Show in December. Our Honor Guard travels the four-state region dutifully, serving at funerals and other services. Our members are active in the state legislature defending public safety initiatives.
In 2005, the members of IAFF Local 1605 formed a non-profit philanthropic Foundation. That foundation created the Bonanza Extravaganza, the area’s premier fundraising event.
The IAFF Local 1605 and the IAFF Local 1605 Foundation appreciate your continued support.
